James Ronald “Ronnie” Childers

James Ronald “Ronnie” Childers, 63, passed away July 6 at Methodist Germantown Hospital, Germantown, TN.  He was born in Vina, AL to William Virk and Elsie Emaline Maxwell Childers.  He was an employee of Mueller in Fulton for 26 years and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

Services were July 10, 4 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay with Bro. Marshall Emerson officiating.  Burial was in Liberty Cemetery, Vina, AL.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years-Nancy Childers of Vina; two children-Jamie Childers and wife, Stephanie of Vina and Sabrina Childers of Hamilton; five grandchildren-Alexis, Kayleigh and Gracie Childers, Bentley Isom and Hazel Stone; four sisters-Jean Miehl of Jacksonville, FL, Joyce Miller and Janice Ozbirn both of Hamilton, AL and Virkie Miller of Birmingham, AL; a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister-Kitty Ussery and two brothers-Billy Childers and Charles Childers.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Ussery, Richard Ussery, Kenneth Childers, Jamie Childers, Corey Stone, Gary Lindsey and Bill Childers.

Visitation was July 10, 12-4 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay.
