Evelyn Shook

Evelyn Shook, 88, passed away July 10 at her residence. She was born in Alabama and was a homemaker. She was a member of Belmont United Methodist Church.

Services will be July 13, at 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, Ms. with Bro. Neville Vanderburg officiating. Burial will be in Old Bethel Cemetery, Golden, Ms.

Survivors are her husband – Claude Shook, Golden, Ms.; two children – Susan Jackson and husband, Phillip, Belmont, Ms. and Deborah Kearns, Golden, Ms.; one grandchild – Danica Brie Jackson, Belmont, Ms.; one sister – Catherine Moore, Fulton, Ms. and one sister-in-law – Dorothy Taylor, Atlanta, Ga.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther V. Taylor and Emma Wanner Taylor, one brother, Jack Taylor and one sister, Elsie Hallmark.

Pallbearers will be John Hallmark, Taylor Hallmark, Shaun Sitton, Billy Durward, Todd Martin and Dillon Horn.

Visitation will be July 12, 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, Ms.
