Carol Joan Knecht
Carol Joan Knecht, 51, passed away May 4 at her residence. She was born in Alabama, worked at Golden Manufacturing in Golden, Miss., and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Belmont, Miss.
Graveside services were held May 5 at 5 p.m. at Joel Cemetery, Dennis, Miss., with Bro. Glenn Smith officiating. Burial was in Joel Cemetery, Dennis, Miss.
Survivors are two children, Jason Knecht and wife Danielle, Belmont, Miss., and Kayla Porter and husband Paul, Hodges; two grandchildren, Makenzie Knecht and James “Bug” Knecht; father, James Flournoy, Belmont, Miss.; two brothers, Frankie Flournoy and Michael Flournoy; and four sisters, Alice Emerson, Kay West, Katherine Wood and Teresa Guntharp.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Michael Knecht; her mother, Myrne Flournoy; and seven brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers were Michael Flournoy, Frankie Flournoy, Larry Emerson and P.J. Porter.
