City of Russellville gets clean audit

At a short meeting April 4, the Russellville City Council heard the report on the city’s audit and approved a number of routine items.

The city received a clean audit that did not reveal any issues with the city’s financial health or activities.

The council also:

– accepted a resignation from Jimmy Rea from the Russellville Parks & Recreation Department.

– approved paving additions on Gaines and Lauderdale streets and Washington Avenue.

– approved the estimate for painting of the Russellville Sports Center Interior—Tennis Court Building and Pool Building.

– waived the rental fee for the A.W. Todd Centre for the RHS Fine Art Department pancake breakfast fundraiser, the Christian Waterfowlers Association, the RHS Marching Hundred for their annual band banquet and the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce for the Franklin County Junior Leadership graduation.
