Jimmy R. Clement, age 76, Leighton, passed away Dec. 21, 2015.

The visitation will be held Dec. 26 from 5-8 p.m. at Akins Funeral Home. The funeral will be Dec. 27 at 2 p.m. at the Cowboy Church of Colbert County. He will lie in state from 1-2 p.m. at the church with Truman Sutton, Wendall Olive and Jimmy Dowdell officiating. Burial will be in Bethsaida Cemetery.

He is preceded in death by his wife Maudie Jane, infant grandson Charlie Clement, father Matthew Clement, mother Orr Lee Clement, brothers Horace and wife Olene, Aussie and wife Mildred and Luther and wife Faye.

He is survived by his son Baxter and wife Katie Clement and grandchildren Dakota and Janie Clement. He also is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

The family has a special thanks for friends Dorothy Hatton, Megan Bolton, Mendy Palmer and all others that were there for him; all friends and loved ones from the Cowboy Church of Colbert County and Alacare Home Health; Littleville Senior Center, Littleville Family Pharmacy, TOPS Club of Russellville and Gentivia Hospice; and all the doctors who cared for him during his extended illness.
