Jane Spears

Jane Spears, age 86, Phil Campbell, passed away on Monday, Dec. 1, 2015.

The visitation was held on Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015 at Akins Funeral Home. The funeral was held Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015 at 2pm at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, she lay state at the church with Bro. John Humpres officiating. Interment was at the adjoining cemetery.

She was preceded in death by husband, T.O. Spears; parents, Walter and Jeanie Perry; three brothers, Freemon Perry, Jack Perry, and Melvin Garrison; three sisters, Bertie Jenkins, Bertha Perry, and Letha Garrison.

She is survived by her daughters, Betty Spears, Kathryn Phifer and Rickey, Carol Smith and Buddy; granddaughters, Tracey Potter and Derell, Amanda Sealey and Clarence, Whitney Carter and Todd; three great grandsons, Bentlee Sealey, Jacob Potter, Kyson Carter; sisters, Jean Frost, Dessie Vandiver; Her friend and caregiver Orvie James who helped care for our mother with love and kindness.
