Duncan and Smith to wed

William M. Duncan, Sr., and the late Nancy Duncan of Lillian of are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Ann Farrar Duncan, to William “Bill” Franklin Smith, son of William and Diane Smith of Littleville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Charles and Amelia Duncan and the late Alton and Alice Waltz all of Birmingham. She is a graduate of Minor High School and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education from Auburn University and a Master of Education in School Counseling from the University of West Alabama. She is currently employed by Trussville City Schools as a counselor.

The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Raymond and Estella Smith of Rockwood and the late Billy and Lillian Aycock of Russellville. He is a graduate of Russellville High School and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and a Master of Science in Human Performance from the University of Alabama. He is currently employed by Talladega County School System as athletic director and head football coach.

The wedding will be held June 27, 2015. Vows will be exchanged at 2 in the afternoon at Rockwood Baptist Church in Russellville. Chip Martin, cousin of the groom, will be officiating the ceremony. A reception will be held in the church’s fellowship hall following the ceremony.
