Jesse Wayne Bendall, 82, of Russellville, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2014, at ECM Hospital in Florence.

Wayne proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force in the Korean Conflict.  He was a member of Isbell Methodist Church.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2014 at Spry Memorial Chapel of Russellville.  Service will be led by Patty Woodruff.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Callie Robinson Bendall and James “Bud” Bendall; sisters, Daphine Colburn, Barbara Green, Lee Patterson; and brother, J.R. Bendall.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Cheesbrough Bendall of 59 years; sons, Stephen Wayne Bendall and wife, Patti, Collin Bendall and Cheryl Ott, Brian Bendall and wife, Stacie; grandchildren, Brianne Bendall and Steven Turney, Paige Smith and husband, Heath, Kayla Bendall and Jake Tompkins, Abbie Bendall and Zach Sockwell, Konner Bendall; great-grandchildren, Brayden Taylor and Jasie Sockwell; brothers and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend thanks to the many friends, relatives, and to the staff of ECM Hospital, and a special thanks to Dr. Webb and the 5th floor nurses for the love and care of our family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Building Fund, Isbell Methodist Church in honor of Wayne.
