Opal Hamilton Fisher, 91, Tharptown, born March 24, 1922, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2014. If she had lived until March 24, she would have been 92 years of age.

She lived all of her life in Franklin County and was a member of Tharptown Baptist Church.

Visitation was Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. Funeral service followed with Eddie Wix and Josh Miller officiating. Burial was in Tharptown Cemetery.

Survivors include sons, Charles Thomas Fisher and wife, Linda, Carl Dean Fisher and wife, Jean, all of Russellville; brother, Dossie Hamilton and wife, Ruby, of California; grandchildren, Tish Fisher Hollimon and husband, Terry, Suzanne Fisher Borden, and husband, Chris, Jennifer Fisher McCalpin and husband, Tracy, Ben Fisher and wife, Tina, Justin Fisher and wife, Ashley; 14 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Annette Hamilton; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Ken Hamilton, Tim Hamilton, Jerry Hamilton, Chris Borden, DeWayne Warhurst, and Rodney Seay.

Honorary bearers were Earl Coan, Tommy Warhurst, Jerry Aycock and Morris Woodruff.

She was preceded in death by husband, Thomas Roy Fisher.

She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
