Bruce B. James, 72, Russellville, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014 at his residence.

Mr. James was a member and deacon of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He was a lifetime member of Lawrence County Tractor Club. He worked for years at Elmores, TG&Y, Walmart, GMP Metals, and GoldKist.  He was kind and thoughtful to all and will be missed by everyone who knew him.

The visitation was Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral followed in the chapel. Officiating at the service was Bro. Roger Jones. Burial was at Duncan Creek Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Bernece Fuller James; children, Cindy Wade and husband, Glenn, Terry James and wife, Denise; grandchildren, Kimberly James, Nola Wells, April Wells; step-grandchildren, Kelly Turpin, Kathryn Roberts; step-great-grandchildren, Christopher Roberts, Nick South, Tory Turpin, Lanny Turpin; brothers, Hazel James and wife, Doris, Lowell James wife, Darcy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents, Wiley and Oma James and sister, Joree Murray.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Alacare Hospice and the doctors and nurses of North Alabama Cancer Center.
