Junior Lee Allen, 73, Russellville, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2014, at ECM Hospital.

He was a native of Colbert County, but lived most of his life in Franklin County. He was a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. He was retired from Local #320 where he was a heavy equipment operator for Cates & Puckett.

The visitation was Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. Funeral service will be Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 11 a.m. at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church with Stanley Hargett officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church one hour before the service.

Survivors include wife, Rosaline “Tot” Hand Allen; daughter, Rebecca Allen Thompson and Ken Martin; son, Sherman Allen and wife, Kim; grandchildren, Stephenie Smith and husband, Scott, Stephen Thompson and wife, Nikki, and Katelyn Allen; great-grandchildren, Laykin Riley and Lawson Thompson; stepsister, Virginia Allen; stepbrother, Pete Fisher; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

He was preceded in death by father, Sherman Allen; mother, Elizabeth Chaney Fisher; step-father, George W. Fisher; brother, William Jackie Allen; nephews, William Wade Allen and Amon Wayne Hand; and three stepsisters.
