Bernice Barnes, 81, of Tuscumbia, formerly of Russellville, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2013 at her residence.

The visitation was on Monday, November 25, 2013 at Akins Funeral home prior to the funeral service in the chapel with Bro. Dennis Stewart and Bro. Jeremy Seal officiating. Interment was in Gravel Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Phillip Fretwell, Jimmy Don Herring, Mark Reeps, Van Herring, Adam Liles, and Richard Herring.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Barnes; son, Ronnie Barnes; parents, Glen and Marie Reeps; and brothers, Steve Reeps and Billy Reeps.

She is survived by daughter, Rita Hargett ,of Tuscumbia; step daughter, Faye Seal and husband, Jeremy; sisters, Jane Hargett, Mott Davis, and Elizabeth Hill; brother, Bobby Glen Reeps; grandsons, Kevin Ashley and Dustin Hargett; granddaughters, Melissa Liles and husband, Adam, and Laura Seal; and great-granddaughters, Hana Liles, Eren Liles and Madison Liles.
