Lady Bulldogs overcome Vina girls in 69-43 victory

The Belgreen Lady Bulldogs picked up a homecoming victory over the Vina Red Devils on Friday by a score of 69-43.

The win improved Belgreen’s record to 4-0 in the early season.

Belgreen jumped out to an early lead outscoring Vina 28-10 in the opening quarter. Allyson Bragwell of Belgreen matched Vina’s scoring total in the first quarter with 10 points.

Vina then picked up the pace only being outscored 18-16 in the second quarter. Fallyn Shotts led the way for Vina in the quarter picking up eight of her 12 points on the night.

Belgreen took a 46-26 lead into halftime and it was more than Vina could overcome.

Jasmine Martin of Belgreen led all scorers with 22 points followed closely by Laken Bragwell’s 18 for the Lady Bulldogs.

Also scoring in double figures for the Lady Bulldogs was Allyson Bragwell with 14 points.

Vina was led in scoring by Morgan Humphres, who picked up 14 points of her own. Miranda Howard contributed eight points in the loss for the Red Devils.
