Gilbert Phillip King, 76, Vina, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2013 at ECM Hospital.

He served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Baptist Church. He was a truck driver, but better known as a jack of all trades.

The visitation and service were on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Spry Memorial Chapel. Burial was at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Spring Valley.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Denise King; children, Phillis Johnson, and husband, Freddie, of Russellville; Mattie Wright, and husband, Ronnie, of Savannah, Tenn.; Daizy King, of Fayetteville, Ark.; Jenny King, of Vina; Jason Reisinger and wife, Amy, of Florence; grandchildren, John Johnson; Laura Gann and husband, Jason; Dionna Tate and husband, Chris; Jonathan Crotts and wife, Melissa; Adam Crotts and wife, Stacey; Dale Wright and wife, Melissa; Shannon Wright and husband, Joe Mansell, Tymber Sky Pope, Tyler Pope, Enon Reisinger, Sophyie Reisinger; and soon to arrive, Baby Boy Keel; great-grandchildren, Mia and MaKayla Gann, Haley and Colton Carter, Whitney Wright, Dustin Strickland, Leslie and Logan Wright, Justin Strickland, Steven and Brianna Wright, Aiden & Tyler Crotts; two great-great-grandchildren, Emma Grace Smith and Lily Smith; brothers, Rev. Malcolm King, Rev. Curtis King and Milton King; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Elizabeth Lynn Frost; parents, Peter Paul and Leona Mae King; brothers, Hershel King, Wade King; and sisters, Ramona King and Gean Moody.

The pallbearers were Adam Crotts, Jonathan Crotts, Kevin Keel, Quinton Keel, Bobby King, and Alton King.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors, the nurses and staff of the 6th floor at ECM for their love and care of Mr. King.
