Johnny Ray Vollrath, 72, Sheffield, passed away Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at Helen Keller Hospital.

He and his wife owned a boat repair business.

He is survived by his wife, Frankie Bullington Vollrath; sons, Eddie Vollrath, David Vollrath; daughters, Genny Ann Venturi, Shirley Savage; stepson, Cpl. Samuel Bogue; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Alma Whitfield, Ruby Greer; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, L.J. and Mary Vollrath; and his brothers and sisters.

The family will have a memorial service at a later date.
