Jimmy Thornton, Jr., passed away Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at Russellville Hospital.

Jimmy was a sanitation worker with the City of Russellville.

Funeral services were Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at Spry Memorial Chapel. Officiating at the service was Bro. Roger Jones. Burial was in Mount Zion Cemetery.

He is survived by wife, Mary E. Thornton; children, Corey Thornton, Jamie Taylor and husband, Bradley, Justin Thornton; mother, Charlene Thornton; sister, Pam Thornton and husband, David, Penny McGee and husband, Jerry; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Thornton, Sr.

The pallbearers were Aaron Welch, Randy Dutton, Walter Dutton, Daniel Turbyfill, Tony Malone and Dakota Dutton.
