Phillip Michael Barnes, 61, Spruce Pine, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013, at Russellville Hospital.

Mr. Barnes was a member of the Spruce Pine Masonic Lodge for over 30 years.

The visitation will be 9 – 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Spry Memorial Chapel.  A private family graveside service will be held at 11:30 at Franklin Memory Gardens.  Bro. Jim Poss will officiate.

He is survived by his wife, Shelia Barnes; children, Jennifer Barnes Haynes and husband, Jason, Sommer Barnes, Cody Barnes; grandchildren, Brooklyn Butler, Leland Haynes, Sky Gargis, Chapin Barnes, Caden Barnes, Canaan Barnes; brother, Dwight Barnes and family; sister-in-laws, Sherry Johnson, Kathy Jackson; host of nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Vera Barnes.
