Russellville teen charged with sex abuse

A Russellville teen was arrested over the weekend after being accused of forcing himself on a juvenile at her residence, officials said.
Druey Doyle Gandy, 18, 180 Aycock Loop, Russellville, was arrested for first-degree sexual abuse, Russellville Police Chief Chris Hargett said.
According to Hargett, officers received a call on Sunday afternoon that a sexual assault had taken place at a Russellville residence early Sunday morning.
Hargett said when officers arrived at the residence, they were given information that Gandy had allegedly attempted to force himself on a 16-year-old girl who lived there.
He said the two had reportedly met on the Internet.
After locating Gandy for questioning, Hargett said officers determined there was enough evidence for an arrest.
Gandy is being held on a $10,000 bond.
