Russellville man brings business back home

A longstanding business has relocated to the city of Russellville, which officials said could be a great help in terms of sales tax revenue.
Petro Chemical Energy, a business owned by Russellville native Darren Woodruff, recently moved from their former location in Littleville to the old Norris Bookstore building located in downtown Russellville near the Russellville Police Department.
Woodruff said the main reason for the move was to find a space that would better accommodate his growing business.
“We were expanding and we had really outgrown our other office, so when it came time to move, I knew Russellville was the right place to be.”
Woodruff said there were many advantages to moving his business into the city of Russellville and he was excited about the possibilities.
“Littleville has been good to my company and, even though it’s not that far away, actually moving the business inside the city limits of Russellville just makes me feel like I’m back home,” Woodruff said.
“We were able to get a good deal on the building we are in, and we’re excited to be here and to do what we can to help out the local economy.
“I’m from Russellville, so anything I can do to help out my hometown is something I’m definitely on board with.”
Woodruff said they are officially set up at their new office and business is running as usual while they continue to unpack and get other things in order, such as the business sign, which Woodruff said should be installed within the next week.
“We currently have 14 employees with the business, but we hope to expand that soon and provide some more job opportunities for local residents,” Woodruff said.
“We’re looking forward to a bright future here in Russellville.”
