Nancy Jo Gibson Balentine, 74, Muscle Shoals, passed away Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at Helen Keller Hospital.

Funeral services were Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at Akins Funeral Home, Russellville, with Bro. Ted Vafeas officiating. Interment was in Franklin Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers were Brandon Balentine, Russell West, Joe Hamilton, Heath Daily, Danny Hendrix, John Ligon.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Shelia Ligon; parents, Dan and Zell Gibson; siblings, Margie West, Dan Gibson, Jr.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Jimmy Balentine; sons, Butch Balentine, Danny Balentine and wife, Joyce; grandchildren, Brandon Balentine and wife, Ashley, Jasmine Murphy, Paige Balentine, Madison Balentine; great grandchildren, Michael, Joseph, Kevin; nieces and nephews, Nita McCarley, Wanda Hamilton, Russ West, Gloria Novell, Vallita Atchley; great niece, Jessica Hamilton.

She was a member of North Russellville Baptist Church.
