Velma Grace James, 81, of Russellville, passed away Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, at her residence

Mrs. James was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and a member of Duncan Creek Baptist Church. She was retired as a seamstress from Prepmore Manufacturing.

The funeral service will be Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, at 12 noon at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel, Russellville, with burial in Duncan Creek Cemetery. Officiating will be Cayce Harrison and Waymon Fike.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 12 noon.

Survivors include husband, Homer James; children, Gerald James and wife, Marie, Barbara Fike and husband, Waymon, Judy McDougle and friend, Jeff Presley, and Ricky James, all of Russellville; grandchildren, Brent Fike and wife, Judi, Eric Fike and wife, Meghan, Casey James, Greg James, Hollie McDougle, and Jennifer Boutwell; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Brent Fike, Eric Fike, Casey James, Greg James, John Fike and Gabe Bearden.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Bessie McNatt; son, Larry Wilson James, granddaughter, Jenice Wilson.

The family would also like to give a special thank you to Southern Care Hospice, Ruby Sheffield, Misty Wilson, Dawn Lowe and granddaughter, Hollie McDougle.
