Kenneth Wayne Andrews, Sr., 75, Russellville, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2012, at Russellville Hospital.

He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. He spent many years as a heavy equipment operator in bridge construction; however his best job was simply being “Dad.”

Funeral services were Monday, June 25, 2012 at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Josh Miller. Burial was in Knights of Pythias Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lacey and Grace Andrews; brothers, Billy, John, Jack, Bob, Theo, and Charlie Andrews; and granddaughter, Katie Andrews.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Doris Pace Andrews; sons, Wayne Andrews and wife, Karen, and Mark Andrews, all of Russellville; William Andrews and wife, Lori, of Cullman, Joe Andrews and wife, Dawn, of Rock Hill, S.C.; daughter, Julie Bryant, Phil Campbell; grandchildren, Rachel Hall and husband, Justin, Lindsey Smith and husband, Ryan, Logan Andrews, Aaron Andrews, Seth Andrews, Luke Andrews, Josh Andrews, Mattie Bryant; step-grandchild, Michael Gamble; great-grandchildren, Hazel Hall, Sylvie Smith; brother, Paul Andrews; sisters, Mary Jane Hellums and husband, Tulen, Linda Keeton and husband, Charlie, Talma Hand and husband, Ralph; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The pallbearers were Ron Riley, Justin Hall, Ryan Smith, Josh Andrews, Aaron Andrews and Tommy Glasgow.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the many doctors and nurses for the love and care shown to our dad.
