Charles L. Gibson, Jr., 68, of Russellville, Ala. passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Russellville Hospital.
Mr. Gibson, was a native of Winston County, but had lived in Franklin County for the past 30 years.  He was a Southern Baptist pastor for 33 years and a member of Grace Life Church of the Shoals where he taught Sunday school. He served in the Navy and was a member of the American Legion.
Funeral services were held Friday, September 30, 2011, at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, with Bro. Jeff Noblitt officiating.  Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Arley, Ala.   
He is survived by his wife, Sandy Gibson, of Russellville; sons, Kevin Gibson and wife, Melissa, of Huntsville, Brett Gibson and wife, Deanna, of Sikeston, Mo.; brother, George Gibson and wife, Carolyn, of Arley, Ala.; grandchildren, Mallory Gibson, Grayson Gibson, Isaiah Gibson, Ezekiel Gibson, Will Blankenship, Zach Tillery; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents, Charles and Gladys Gibson.
