Vivian Ann Cansler, 69, of Spruce Pine, passed away on Friday, Sept. 3, 2011 at Russellville Hospital.
Mrs. Cansler was born on August 5, 1942 to Margurite and Emmett Dyer.  She was a native of Port Washington, Ohio; however, she has lived in Alabama since 1968 when she married her husband, Wayne.  They were married 43 years.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011 at Spruce Pine Baptist Church.  Officiating at the service will be Bro. Jim Poss and Bro. Andy Cansler.  Burial will be in Spruce Pine Cemetery.  Spry Memorial Chapel assisted the family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Owen Wayne Cansler; father, Emmett Dyer; and brother, Doug Dyer.
She is survived by her five children, Cyndee Patterson and husband, Doug, Cheryl Cansler and husband, Keith, Mike Shivers and wife, Cindy, Teresa Clark and husband, James, Gina Cain and husband, Steve; 14 grandchildren, Jimmy, Joshua, Keith, Jr. (“Lil’ Man”), Kayla, Ashley, Justin, Michael, Wayne (“Bubba”), Jordan, Rachel, Christopher, Corey, Melissa, Megan, Candi; 8 great-grandchildren; mother, Margurite Dyer; two brothers, Wayne Dyer, Raymond Dyer; brother and sister-in-laws, Buell and Teresa Cansler; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The pallbearers will be Justin Ergle, Joey Wingo, Derek Slatton, Brian Scott, Shawn Johnson, and David Berry.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Keith Morrow and his staff; the doctors and nurses at Russellville Hospital who assisted with Mrs. Cansler’s care.
She was loved by many.  Her children would like to say “We will miss you Moma and we love you always!!!”
