Wathel Dean Scott, 74, of Russellville, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2011, at his residence.

Mr. Scott was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Russellville.   He was retired from Southern Rural Healthcare and was a veteran of the Army National Guard.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 9, 2011, at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel, Russellville, with Wade Wallace officiating.  Burial was in Franklin Memory Gardens, Russellville. 

He was survived by his wife, Ora Mae Scott, of Russellville; mother, Lucille Scott, of Hodges; children, Michael Scott and wife, Chele, of Easley, S.C., and Michele Morgan, of Crestview, Fla.; stepson, Greg Trapp and wife, Donna, of Russellville; sister, Gloria Herring Lemay and husband, Tal, of Hodges; grandchildren, Michael Chase Jones, Hunter Scott Jones, William Heath Morgan, Matthew Keith Scott, Alyssa Michele Scott, Nicholas Dean Scott; step-grandchildren, Brittany Trapp, Chris Trapp, Cory Trapp; nieces, Jennifer Bishop and Jill Buchanan; nephew, David Scott.

He was preceded in death by father, William Edward Scott, Sr., and brother, William Edward Scott, Jr.

Pallbearers were family and friends.

Honorary pallbearers were his Calvary Baptist Church Sunday School Class.
