Russellville Hospital performed well last week

As I sit here this morning looking at the pictures and reading the stories about the storms that devastated parts of Franklin County last week, I would like to share some of my thoughts with everyone.

I have been working in this county for the past 23 years and from time to time I have heard people say that Russellville does not have a good hospital.

After being at the hospital last Wednesday night I can say that people really need to have a different opinion of this facility.

I have never seen a more dedicated, compassionate and caring people anywhere than those I saw that night. Everyone from administration to housekeeping was doing everything they could to help the injured patients and console the family members.

It may have been chaotic, but they acted in a very professional manner.

I want to commend every employee of Russellville Hospital who responded to the Disaster Code for the great job all of you did for the citizens of Franklin County.

I am very proud and relieved to know that if I ever need medical attention I have a good hospital with a fantastic staff to take care of my loved ones and me.

So, if you know someone who works for or is associated with Russellville Hospital, please show your support for them by saying thanks for a job well done.
