Reba Jarnigan Thorn, 89, died Sunday, April 3, 2011, at Generations of Red Bay.

She was a native of Franklin County and a homemaker.

She was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and a member of the Eastern Star.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay with Bro. Greg Thorn and Bro. Billy Myrick officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Creek Cemetery.

Survivors are three children, Alvie Thorn and his wife, Beverly, of Russellville, and Hildred Gene Thorn and his wife, Brenda, and Virginia Johnston and her husband, Howard, all of Red Bay.; one sister, Arvie Dene George, of Tuscumbia; 11 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren,  25 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elzie Thorn, her parents, Edgar and Ada Kuykendall Jarnigan, three brothers and one sister.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers and great-grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.
