Please take campaign signs down in timely manner

The election is over and the nasty political attack ads are gone from television, cleansing the airwaves for regular commercials.

Now it is time to clean area roadways.

Campaign signs are useful in the weeks leading up to an election, but are an eyesore once that election has concluded.

To all candidates and their supporters, please make sure your campaign signs are taken down in a timely fashion so the citizens of Franklin County can enjoy the natural beauty this area contains.

The scenic drives of the county are not the only areas cluttered with these signs. Many neighborhoods lose their charm as residents try to rally support for their candidate of choice.

The election is over and it is time for the signs to come down.

It is fall, and the citizens of Franklin County should be enjoying the beauty of the reds, yellows and oranges of tree leaves before they fade away, not the bright red and blue shade politicians use to get their names to the masses.
