Chiefs blank Vina 36-0

VINA – R.A. Hubbard not only won its third game of the season Friday, it picked up its third shutout as well by defeating Vina 36-0.
The Chiefs (3-1, 2-0) were kept off the scoreboard until there was only 1:14 remaining in the opening quarter. They added two more touchdowns and a pair of 2-point conversions to take a 22-0 lead into halftime.
Hubbard scored twice in the second half.
The Red Devils (1-3, 1-3) struggled to move the ball, gaining only 34 yards of total offense.
Morgan McCarley completed 1-of-5 passing attempts for five yards and threw one interception. Ethan Hammock led the Vina rushing attack with 34 yards.
Nick Schmittou and Clay Pierce led the Red Devils with 10 tackles each. McCarley added eight tackles.
Vina travels to Phil Campbell next Friday.
