Preseason games are this week

By Staff
High school football fields across the state will see game action for the first time since spring practice this week as jamboree games fill the schedule.
All of the teams in Franklin County will participate in jamboree games, but only two schools will host action.
Phil Campbell will be the first of the teams to play its tune-up game. The Bobcats will host Haleyville Thursday night at 7 p.m.
The rest of the teams play Friday.
Red Bay is the other team hosting a jamboree game. The Tigers will welcome Tharptown for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
Russellville travels to Braley Stadium in Florence for its jamboree game. The Golden Tigers will take on Sheffield at 5:30 p.m.
Vina is also hitting the road. The Red Devils will travel to Hackleburg for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
The jamborees are a tune up for the regular season, which begins next week.
The week one schedule has Tharptown traveling to Phillips Aug. 27.
The rest of the teams play Aug. 28 when Red Bay hosts Lee-Huntsville, Vina travels to Shoals Christian, Phil Campbell heads to East Lawrence and Russellville heads to Tuscumbia to take on Deshler.
