By Staff
It was a tough week for the Red Bay tennis program as the boys and girls lost two meets each.
The boys team lost to Muscle Shoals 8-1 and took its first section loss of the year against Mars Hill 6-3. The boys are now 5-3 overall and 3-1 in section action.
Against Muscle Shoals, the doubles team of Toby Gray and Kirk Armstrong picked up the only win for the Tigers 11-10.
They also won a doubles match against Mars Hill 11-10. Winning singles matches for the Tigers were Gray with a 10-4 victory against Drake Davis and Roman Lynch with a 10-3 victory against Colton Durdundi.
The girls lost to Covenant Christian 9-0 and Mars Hill 9-0 to fall to 0-7 overall and 0-6 in section play.
The boys and girls teams will play at Russellville today and will travel to Florence Monday for the Section Tournament. That tournament will be played at the Florence City Courts.
