Creel re-appointed as Red Bay police chief

RED BAY – The Red Bay Police Department no longer has to guess who will lead their department for the next four years as the Red Bay City Council unanimously voted to re-appoint Police Chief Pat Creel during the regular council meeting Monday night.
Creel said he is glad to have the re-appointment as police chief and is ready to move his department forward.
"I want to thank the mayor and council for this re-appointment, and I look forward to working with them and moving forward," Creel said.
The appointment comes two weeks after the council, who took applications for each position, filled the other appointed positions.
"We wanted to do what is best for Red Bay," Mayor Bobby Forsythe said.
Creel has been police chief in Red Bay since Dec. 2004, and has more than 30 years experience in law enforcement.
He has served in the capacity of police chief for nearly 10 years.
