Mary Lou Arnold

Mary Lou Arnold, 96, of Haleyville passed away Wednesday, Sept. 24 at Lakeland Community Hospital. She was retired from the City of Haleyville as an assistant city clerk. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Haleyville.
Funeral services were held Sept. 26 at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville with Dr. T.B. Stringellow and Dr. Jim Cooley officiating. Burial was in Winston Memorial Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Posey and husband, Don; daughter-in-law, Joy Arnold; grandson, John Arnold and wife Lisa; granddaughters Natalie Boykin and husband Mike, Janie Gilbert and husband Tim and Mary Counts; great-grandchildren, Enjoli Godsey and husband Jason, Ashley Boykin, Perri Leigh Gilbert, Nicklaus Arnold and Baylor Arnold; great-great grandchildren Jon Barrett Godsey and Elisabeth Drake Godsey; and sisters Florene Claytor and Tommie Harvey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold; son, Gerald; son-in-law Perry Counts; mother, Stella Mae Tuggle-Posey; father, Lawrence Tuggle; brothers, Henry and Chester Tuggle; and sister Idella Odom.
In lieu of flowers, make contributions to the Harvest Fund at First Baptist Church in Haleyville.
Travis Richard Oliver

Travis Richard Oliver, 83, of Belgreen passed away Thursday, Sept. 23, 2008 at Russellville Hospital.
Funeral services were held Sept. 26 at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Jackie Richardson and Bro. Paul Cummings officiating. Interment will be in Belgreen Community Center.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Corine Oliver; son, Dewayne Oliver; and grandson, Johnny Oliver.
He is survived by his sons, Tommy Oliver (Kay) of Tuscumbia, Mitchell Oliver (Denise) of Belgreen and Steve Oliver (Sandy) of Frankfort; daughters, Linda Welch (Charles) of Belgreen and Sheila Rogers (Cecil) of Hamilton; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Marie Grey of Illinois; brothers, Fred Oliver and Zollie Oliver, both of Muscle Shoals; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, send donations to Belgreen Community Cemetery.

James Mackie Tucker

James Mackie Tucker, 62, of Russellville died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008 at Russellville hospital.
Mr. Tucker was a native of Mississippi but lived in Russellville for the past 18 years.
A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29 at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville.
He is survived by his wife, Frances; children Jeremy W. Tucker, Angela M. Kelley, Stephen L. Tucker all of Russellville; brother, Jerry Tucker of Orlando, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents, Valcus and Frances Tucker.
