Run 2 Cavalry
2-Mile Run/Walk

TUSCUMBIA – The Run 2 Cavalry 2-Mile Run/Walk will be held Saturday, Feb. 2 at Cavalry Baptist Church beginning at 9 a.m.
The course is flat and fast, and will be certified by race day, and the race will benefit the church's youth group. For more information, contact Josh Aycock at (256) 314-4631 or (256) 415-1326.
Vina sponsors pro wrestling event

VINA – The Vina basketball program will present a professional wrestling "Star Wars 2008" fundraiser at the Vina High School gym Friday, Feb. 15 at 7:30 p.m.
The title matches will include WWF Superstars, ladies world title and the U.S. junior title.
There will be a special match featuring "Action" Mike Jackson vs The Wrestling Superstar at 1:30 p.m. at the gym for $1, plus an autograph party from 3:30 p.m. to 5 :30 p.m. at the Vina parade.
Tickets cost $10 and all proceeds will benefit the Vina basketball program.

City flag football league registration
March 31
The Russellville Parks and Recreation Department flag football league will register teams until March 31.
The league is for ages 16 and up, and the fee is $150 per team with a limit of 15 players. To register, come to the Russellville Recreation Center or call Derrick Dorn at 332-8770.
