More stolen storage building items found

RED BAY- The Russellville Police Department found more items believed to be taken from the rash of storage building thefts last year while executing a search warrant at a Red Bay apartment Wednesday afternoon.
Russellville Police Chief Chris Hargett said more items were found at Village Green Apartment C-2 in Red Bay.
"We found the same type items as we found at the other places," Hargett said.
Items found included power tools, hand tools, pressure washers, and televisions.
Hargett said the majority of the items found at the apartment are believed to be from the Red Bay area and possibly Mississippi.
Hargett said Russellville has at least 20 open cases believed to be a part of the storage building thefts.
Red Bay Police Dispatcher Stephen Moore said his department has at least six cases connected to the storage building thefts but a few others could be pending.
"We have several others that could be connected to the storage building thefts but we aren't positive at this point," Moore said. "But we do have six that we know are connected."
Haleyville Investigator Tim Steien said they have 20 open cases connected to the Franklin County thefts, and 13 victims have received some or all of the stuff back.
Hargett urges anyone with a storage building to go and check it out thoroughly to make sure nothing is missing.
"Not all of the storage buildings were totally cleaned out," Hargett said. "In some, there were only a few items taken so it's important that everyone check the storage building thoroughly to make sure nothing missing."
Police did not release the name of the individual or individuals who occupied the apartment in Red Bay.
However, Hargett did indicate that more charges may be pending and more arrests could be coming.
"We are still investigating these thefts at this time," Hargett said.
Victims can collect their belongings on Jan. 30 at the Ralph C. Bishop Recreation Center in Russellville from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Victims must bring their incident report to collect their items.
