Town of Vina plans benefit event

VINA – The small community of Vina will pull together to help one of their residents in need as final preparations for a benefit dinner is being made.
The benefit will go to help Stephanie Cridille who is suffering from kidney disease and has been undergoing dialysis since May, event organizer Wanda Watson said.
She added that Cridille has lived with kidney disease for several years but has developed problems over the last few months.
Cridille had been using a home dialysis machine, but began traveling for treatment recently due to complications.
"All the money raised at the event will go to cover traveling expenses for Stephanie to get treatment," Watson said.
The benefit dinner will begin at 4 p.m. at the Vina Community Center, Nov. 3.
Plates are $8 with a choice of chicken fingers or barbeque.
In addition to the dinner, there will be live entertainment for everyone to enjoy.
Ethan Pharr and Joseph Baldwin are among those who are scheduled to perform.
There will be an auction held at the event as well.
Cakes along with other prizes donated to the event will be auctioned off during the dinner.
"We are working on different donations from various businesses at this point," Watson said.
