RMS class makes human hot dog

One class of sixth graders at Russellville Middle School created a human hotdog with assistant principal Jason Simmons.
Coach Jeff Madden's sixth grade homeroom class earned the privilege of squeezing bottles of ketchup and mustard onto Mr. Simmons as he lay on the ground.
Before the students began, Madden instructed them with two rules: nothing in the ears and nothing in the snorkel hose Simmons worn to protect his airway.
The class sold the most magazines, raising $2,888.00, during the school recent fundraiser. Each class had a goal of $2,000; only three classes met this goal, Madden said.
Simmons' reaction as students, in groups of three, began to squeeze the condiments onto their assistant principle was, "It's cold!"
After each of the 30 students empties their bottles, principal Carol Massey and Gina Williams, school nurse, and Coach Madden added the finishing touches by adding relish to the "hot dog."
RMS raised a total of $29,856 and the classes that met their $2,000 goal will receive a smartboard for their classroom, Simmons said.
