Golden Tigers heat up in Florida

The Russellville Golden Tiger baseball team defeated Grace Academy (TN) 14-7 on Tuesday, improving its record to 6-1 on a current trip to Cocoa, Florida.
Freshman Augie Lawson pitched four innings to earn the win against Grace Academy, and Jacob Daniel led the Golden Tigers (15-5) at the plate by going 4-for-4.
Caleb Mitchell, Jake Ward, Cory Trapp and John Batchelor each had two hits.

Russellville 8 Suffield Academy (CT) 3
Jacob Daniel homered and drove in two runs to back up six strong innings from Jacey Wilson on Monday as the Golden Tigers handed Suffield Academy a rare loss.
Suffield, the defending state champion in their classification, had lost just 12 games over the past four years.
Cory Trapp had two hits and two RBIs for Russellville.
Russellville 17 Landmark (CT) 2
Jacob Daniel and Cory Trapp each had four RBIs for the Golden Tigers in Monday's rout.
Daniel finished 3-for-4, and Trapp, Caleb Mitchell, Jake Ward and Corey Flanagan had two hits apiece.
DeMatha (MD) 3 Russellville 0
The Golden Tigers fell to one of the nation's top five teams on Sunday despite a strong pitching performance by Jacob Daniel, who struck out nine and allowed just two hits in seven innings.
Torey Baird and Corey Flanagan each had one hit for Russellville.
Russellville 11 Georgetown Prep (MD) 4
Cory Trapp and Trey Hooper each had two RBIs in Sunday's win.
Preston Beasley struck out seven in a complete game.
Russellville 10 Glen Rock (MD) 3
Jake Ward and Cory Trapp each had three hits and two RBIs in Saturday's win.
Torey Baird and Corey Flanagan each had two hits.
Russellville 13 George (PA) 1
Jake Ward struck out seven batters in three innings to earn the win on Saturday.
Mark Davis and Hunter Thomas each drove in two runs for Russellville.
