RHS tennis sweeps Lee

The Russellville High School tennis teams earned a pair of wins over Lee-Huntsville on Tuesday, with both the varsity boys and varsity girls defeating the Generals 8-1.
Ashton Johnson led the Russellville girls with a 6-2, 3-6, 10-8 victory over Sara Paulson at No. 1 singles.
Lindsey Rickard defeated Brittney Bell 7-5, 2-6, 10-4 at No. 2, and Lindsay Cole defeated Brittney Gates 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3.
Jennifer Fennel earned a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Kaley Mosley at No. 4, and Elizabeth Moore was a 6-4, 6-1 winner over Jacqueline Pohly at No. 5.
No. 6 Shayna Glasgow won in straight sets (6-4, 6-1) over Rebecca Smith.
Rickard and Cole teamed for a win at No. 2 doubles, and Johnson and Moore won at No. 3.
T.J. Drake led Russellville's boys to victory, defeating Jamel Turner 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1 singles.
Ty Wells earned a 6-1, 6-2 win over Bowen Latham at No. 3, and John Tyler Hardin was a 6-3, 6-3 winner over Terry Washington at No. 4.
Anthony Turner defeated William Bell 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5, and Tyler Malone earned a 5-7, 6-1, 10-3 victory at No. 6.
Drake teamed with Jacob Hill to defeat Turner and Joseph Bradley 6-4, 6-3 at No. 1 doubles. Wells and Hardin won a doubles match at No. 2, and Turner teamed with Josh Upchurch to win at No. 3.

Lindsey Rickard defeated Katrina Albright 8-0 at No. 2 singles to lead Russellville to Monday's win.
Lindsay Cole was an 8-6 winner over Kylie Ivey at No. 3, and Jennifer Fennel beat Kimberly Pace 8-0 at No. 4.
Elizabeth Moore earned an 8-2 victory over Camella Tinker at No. 5, and No. 6 Shayna Glasgow defeated Tanna Tinker 8-1.
Rickard and Cole, Johnson and Moore, and Fennel and Glasgow all teamed to win doubles matches.
Boys-Russellville 6 Haleyville 3
Seventh-grader Keifer Rea led Russellville to Monday's win with an 8-4 victory over John Wood at No. 2 singles.
John Tyler Hardin, Anthony Turner and Tyler Malone also won singles matches.
Ty Wells and Hardin teamed to win a doubles match, as did Josh Upchurch and Jacob Hill.
