PREP FOOTBALL ROUNDUP: West Lauderdale downs Carthage

West Lauderdale picked up a big 34-14 division 5-3A win over Carthage on Friday night.
The win gave the Knights their third seven-win season in four years.
West, now 7-3 for the season, also clinched third place in the division with the victory.
The Knights will be on the road again next week in 3A first-round playoff action.
No scoring plays were reported from the win over Carthage.
Philadelphia 40
Kemper County 14
Philadelphia jumped out to an early lead and cruised to a 40-14 victory over Kemper County. Philadelphia outscored the Wildcats 26-8 in the first half in the win.
Talmer Burnside gave Philly a 7-0 lead with a 23-yard run.
Kemper County answered with a 60-yard touchdown run by Jevarious Prince. Marcus Green added the two-point conversion to give the Wildcats an 8-0 lead.
Dustin Crockett scored a pair of touchdowns in the second quarter to put Philly back out front. He scored from three yards out and powered in from one yard out to give Philadelphia a 19-8 lead.
Cameron Gates scored on a 50-yard pass from Porter Jordan later in the quarter to make the score 26-8 at half.
Philadelphia added a pair of touchdowns in the third quarter to put the game away. Corie McCullum scored on a two-yard run and added a five-yard touchdown run later in the quarter to make the score 40-8.
Kemper County's Chris Brown scored from two yards out in the fourth quarter to make the final score 40-14.
Claiborne 35
Newton Co. Aca. 6
Claudell Bell ran for five touchdowns to lead Claiborne Academy past Newton County Academy in MPSA Class A first-round playoff football.
Bell broke free on four touchdowns of over 30 yards to make Newton County's road trip a long one.
The Generals jumped out to a 6-0 lead on a 50-yard run by Lee Blackburn but Bell took over the rest of the first half.
He scored on a 31-yard run and added a 44-yard touchdown run to give Claiborne the lead.
Bell broke loose on a 57-yard touchdown run later in the half and finished off the second half scoring with a 28-yard touchdown run to give Claiborne a 28-6 lead.
Bell later scored on a 40-yard touchdown run to give Claiborne the 35-6 victory.
With the loss, the Generals finish the season with an 8-3 record.
Quitman 46
Florence 3
Quitman scored 20 points in the first quarter and added 12 points in the second quarter to take a big win 46-3 win over Florence.
Randy Carter opened the scoring with a 60-yard touchdown and Justin Holloman hit the PAT to make the score 7-0.
Victor Pickens scored on a 32-yard run to give the Panthers a 14-0 lead.
Later in the quarter, Josh Lafferty scored on a 39-yard run to give Quitman a 20-0 lead after the first quarter.
Carter scored on a 33-yard run and caught a 35-yard touchdown pass from Holloman to extend the Panther lead to 32-0 at half.
In the third quarter, Chris Williams scored on a 64-yard run to make the score 39-0. Dejuan Ealie's 26-yard touchdown run finished off the Quitman scoring.
Donald Garrett hit a 30-yard field goal for Florence to make the final score 46-3.
Seminary 60
Enterprise 6
Seminary won its 25th straight football game with a 60-6 win over visiting Enterprise on Friday night.
Seminary rushed for 466 total yards on the night in the big victory.
Nick Crowe scored Seminary's first touchdown on a 67-yard pass to make the score 7-0.
Derek Keys hit Tim Holloway with a 39-yard pass to make the score 13-0 and Crowe added his second touchdown of the first quarter on a 28-yard run to make the score 19-0.
Keys connected on his second touchdown pass of the night when he hit Johnathan Turner for a 34-yard touchdown.
Holloway, who finished with 208 rushing yards, scored the next four touchdowns for Seminary.
He scored on a 71-yard run, a 42-yard run, an 11-yard run and broke loose on a 60-yard touchdown run to stretch the lead to 53-0.
Blake Hennington put Enterprise on the board in the third quarter on a 17-yard touchdown run.
Greg Fairley scored on a 45-yard touchdown run to make the final score 60-6.
Neshoba Central 37
Bailey 20
Neshoba Central picked up its third win of the season with a 37-20 win over Bailey.
The Rockets finish the year with a 3-7 record with the road win.

Newton County 37
Choctaw Central 14
Newton County finished up the regular season with a 37-14 victory over Choctaw Central.
The Cougars, which wrapped up a Division 5-3A second-place finish with a win last week, improved to 6-3 for the year with the victory over the Warriors.
