Lady Knights keep slow-pitch record perfect

West Lauderdale didn't allow Choctaw Central to blemish its slow-pitch softball record.
The Lady Knights downed the Lady Warriors 5-2 on Thursday at home to improve their record to 5-0 for the season.
Sommer Jones (5-0) picked up the win on the mound for West Lauderdale.
Kayla Eubanks led the Lady Knights' offensive attack with a single and triple, and Ashley Helms notched a single and double.
Sara Havard drove home two of West Lauderdale's runs on a double, and Haley Campbell record an RBI single and brought home another run with a sacrifice fly.
Katie McAlister was responsible for the Lady Knights' final run with an RBI single.
West Lauderdale returns to action this weekend as it participates in the Meridian Slow-Pitch Festival at the Northeast Softball Complex.
The Lady Knights will open the festival against Petal at 9 a.m. West Lauderdale will also take on New Hope at 12:45 p.m. and Lawrence County at 4:30 p.m.
West Lauderdale returns to district action at 7 p.m. Tuesday against Morton.
