    PHILADELPHIA Services for Beatrice Lee were to be held today at 10 a.m. at John E. Stephens Chapel with the Rev. John Stephens officiating. Burial was to be in Cedarlawn Cemetery.
    Mrs. Lee, 86, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, Aug. 15, 2004, at Neshoba County Nursing Home in Philadelphia.
    Survivors include her husband, Earl Lee of Philadelphia; a daughter, Paula Norris and her husband, Jim, of Cleveland; sisters, Lois Barnes of Louisville and Cecil Jenkins of Ridgeland; a brother, Marvin Cole of Louisville and two grandchildren.

    GAINSBORO, Tenn. Services for Mildred E. Raines will be held today at 2 p.m. at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with the Revs. Charlie West and Jimmy Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery in the Rock Springs Community of Clay County, Tenn.
    Mrs. Raines, 80, of Gainesboro, died Saturday, Aug. 14, 2004, at the Livingston Regional Hospital in Livingston. She was born in Indianapolis, Ind.
    Survivors include her husband, George F. Raines of Gainsboro; a daughter, Dolores West and her husband, Charlie, of Baxter, and a grandson, Charles David West of Baxter.
    She was preceded in death by her her parents, Herbert and Ruth McCance Doughty; three brothers and five sisters.
    Visitation will be today beginning at 10 a.m. until service at the funeral home.

    PHILADELPHIA Services for Mary Dees Posey will be held today at 3 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Revs. Bill McAlilly and Jerry Beam officiating. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery in Philadelphia.
    Mrs. Posey, 79, of Philadelphia, died Monday, Aug. 16, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a lifelong resident of Philadelphia and worked with her husband as a dental assistant for many years. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Philadelphia. She was involved in many civic activities and clubs.
    Survivors include her husband, Dr. Rudolph Adam Posey Sr. of Philadelphia; a daughter, Jane Posey Giffin of Vicksburg; a son, Dr. Rudolph Adam Posey Jr. of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Allison Palmer, Paige Posey, Anna Lisa Posey, Meagan Posey and Dees Posey, all of Philadelphia, Adam Sharp of Jackson, Mary Claire Giffin of Memphis, Tenn., Melissa Lee Giffin and Kaylen Dees Giffin, both of Vicksburg; and a sister, Johnnie Coulson of Brandon.
    She was preceded in death by her daughters, Pam Posey Sharp and Patricia Posey.
    Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
    Visitation will be today from noon until service time at the funeral home.

    Memorial services for Ella M. Pierce will be held today at 6 p.m. at E.E. McDonald Funeral Home Community Chapel in Meridian.
    Mrs. Pierce, 77, of Meridian, died Friday, Aug. 13, 2004, at Riley Nursing Center.
    Survivors include her sisters, Pinky Eliza Turnipseed and Mattie Pringle, both of Meridian, Annie Ruth Brown and Mary A. Jackson, both of Laurel, Leanna Massey of Sandusky, Ohio and Daisy Dean of Buffalo, N.Y.; and a brother, Joe Chaney of Buffalo and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
    Visitation will be today 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the community chapel in Meridian.
    Services for Martha McArthur will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
    Mrs. McArthur, 71, of Meridian, died Sunday, Aug. 15, 2004, at King's Daughters and Sons Rest Home.
    Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

    Services for Catherine Evans will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at St. John Baptist Church in Newton with the Rev. Rudolph Whitehead officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Berry and Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Evans, 77, of Newton, died Monday, Aug. 16, 2004, at The Specialty Hospital of Meridian.
    Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Theron Evans Sr. of Newton; a daughter, Mary C. Heard and her husband, Larry, of Birmingham, Ala.; sons, Dr. Theron Evans Jr. and his wife, Glenda, of Gulfport and attorney Ray Charles Evans of Newton and three grandchildren.
    Visitation will be Thursday 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
    Services for Rubye B. Ford will be held Saturday at noon at Enterprise Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. William Harper officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
    Mrs. Ford, 66, of Meridian, died Thursday, Aug. 12, 2004, in her home.
    Survivors include her son, Robert H. Brown of Meridian; brothers, Ronnie Houston of Inglewood, Calif. and Robert Houston of San Diego; a sister, Willie Dubose of Meridian; a step-mother, Omega Davis of Laurel and two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie H. Ford and her mother, Mary Love Davis.
    Visitation will be Friday 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
    Services for Ida Mae Stuart Scott were held Monday at 3 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Chuck Overby and Gerald Chaney officiating. Burial was in Magnolia Cemetery.
    Mrs. Scott, 60, of Newton, died Friday, August 13, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
    Survivors include her daughters, Rita Hill of Newton and Patti Howington and her husband, Charles, of Meridian; a son, Jerry Martin "Marty" Scott Jr. of Meridian; sisters, Louise Chaney of Chunky, Bonnie Sharp and Grace Brunelle, both of Meridian, Peggy Johnson and Nancy Berry, both of San Diego, Sally Moore of Durham, N.C. and Rose Henley of Union; brothers, Ben Stuart and Melton "Butch" Stuart, both of Meridian, Howard Stuart of Baton Rouge, La. and Roland Stuart of Durham, N.C. and seven grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by a sister, Annie Marie Daniel and a brother, James Stuart.
    Pallbearers were Wayne Chaney, William Brunelle, Damon Hill, Terry Scott and Terry Alexder.
