Lady Tigers ride big sixth inning to victory over Lady Bulldogs

Southeast Lauderdale used an eight-run sixth inning to power past Enterprise 11-6 in prep slow-pitch softball action on Thursday night.
The Lady Tigers scored seven runs in the inning before the Lady Bulldogs were able to get an out, and Southeast added a run with a two-out hit to jump out to a big lead.
Southeast scored the first run of the game in the top of the first inning as Laci Maxwell tripled and scored on a single by Martika Ivy.
Enterprise answered with three runs in the second inning.
Summer Robinson brought in two runners with a double, and the Lady Bulldogs loaded the bases loaded with just one out after a single by Kara Irby and an intentional walk to Kelsey Simmons.
Hailey Brooke Smith followed with a sacrifice fly for a 3-1 Lady Bulldog lead, but Enterprise was unable to get a clutch hit to do more damage in the inning.
The Lady Bulldogs added a run in the third inning when Shannon Creel doubled and scored on an infield single by Kristen Gavin.
Enterprise added another run in the fifth inning. The Lady Bulldogs had the bases loaded with no outs in the inning and were once again only able to score one run.
Amy Tackett brought in a run with a sacrifice fly but a double play got Southeast out of the inning without further damage.
Southeast's offense made its more in the the sixth inning, as Ivy led off the inning with a solo home run to left field to cut Enterprise's lead to 5-2.
Heather Ward tripled and Eli Bowen doubled to make the score 5-3.
After a walk by Megan McMullen, Tiffany Roulier delivered a single, and Heather Harper brought in a run with a single to make the score 5-4.
After an RBI single by Andrea Wilson tied the game and loaded the bases, Jessica Rose delivered a three-run triple to give Southeast an 8-5 lead.
The Lady Tigers added their final run of the inning with a double by Lindsey Graham to make the score 9-5.
Enterprise scored a run in the bottom of the sixth inning as Robinson doubled and Simmons singled.
Southeast answered with two runs in the top of the seventh to put the game away.
Southeast is 3-1 for the year and will play at Quitman on Saturday. Enterprise drops to 2-2 and will take on Northeast Lauderdale on Tuesday.
