Graveside services for Kathleen Fleming Anthony will be held today at 11 a.m. at Long Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Roy Dabbs officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Anthony, 89, of Meridian, died Friday, Aug. 6, 2004, at Heartfelt Hospice in Meridian.
Survivors include a brother, Euel Fleming of Meridian; and a nephew, Tommy Fleming and his wife, Evelyn, of Slidell, La.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Ellaray Lorraine Savell will be held today at 11 a.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Barry Skelton officiating. Burial will be in Crossroads Cemetery in Union.
Mrs. Savell, 82, of Union, died Friday, July 30, 2004, in Burke, Va.
She was born Sept. 13, 1921, to George and May Gamble in Little York, Ind. She graduated from Little York High School in May 1939. She graduated from the Methodist Hospital of Indiana School of Nursing in October 1942. She was commissioned in the U.S. Navy in May of 1943 and served on active duty in the Nursing Corps from June 1943 to February 1946. She was stationed in Farragut, Idaho and San Diego, where she met her husband, Carl Savell. She was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy Reserve in March 1951, while holding the rank of lieutenant (junior grade). She was married on Sept. 26, 1946, and was a faithful wife for 55 years until her husband's death in August 2001.
In the late 1940s, the couple lived briefly in Chattanooga, Tenn. and Longview, Wash., before settling in Richmond, Ind. to raise their family. While raising three boys from 1949 to 1973, she worked as a registered nurse at Reid Memorial Hospital and in private practice. In 1975, Lorraine and Carl moved to a farm near Union, where they enjoyed their animals, family and frequent visits from their sons. Lorraine continued to work as a nurse at the Choctaw Indian Hospital in Philadelphia. She retired and un-retired more than once, always answering the call, working double shifts well into her mid-seventies. She loved animals of all types, especially birds, dogs, cats and ducks. In her later years, she often spent more on bird feed than she did on herself. She was an avid gardener who loved to read books, watch movies and can fruit and preserves. She lived her life in the service of others. She was a loving wife and mother and an exceptional nurse who dedicated her life to serving, caring for and healing people.
Survivors include her sons, Mark and his wife, Maria, of Hopkinton, Mass., Michael, of Kingstowne, Va., and Marlin and his wife Karen, of Burke, Va.; grandchildren, Zachary, Alexandra, Nicholas, and Matthew; sisters, Ruth Kettrey and Lois Henry of Winter Haven, Fla.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Marie Hancock will be held today at 4 p.m. at Longino Baptist Church with the Revs. Michael Wells and Vince Martin officiating. Burial will be in Longino Cemetery. John E. Stephens Funeral Home Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hancock, 86, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004, at Neshoba County Nursing Home. She was a retired meter maid who worked 16 years for the Philadelphia Police Department.
Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Houston and her husband, Jim; a daughter-in-law, Edwina White, all of Philadelphia; two sons, Gerald Copeland and his wife, Elizabeth, of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Keith Hancock and his wife, Kathy, of Philadelphia; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Hancock in 1992; and a son, Terry Hancock, in 1990.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Johnnye Lou Goldman will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Marshall Stokes and Dwayne Goldman officiating. Burial will be in Coldwater Cemetery in Neshoba County.
Mrs. Goldman, 83, of Jackson, died Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004, at Willow Creek Retirement Center in Byram.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Goldman of Florence and Michael Goldman of Terry; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Jean Gerst of Perry Hall, Md.; and a brother, Charles Harrison of Forest.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Truett L. Goldman; and a son, Connie L. Goldman.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Post master, retired minister
BUTLER, Ala. Services for Elsie Marie Broadhead Pardue will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Needham Assembly of God Church with the Revs. Jimmy Lloyd, Hermease Broadhead, Billy Cardwell, and Hilliard Broadhead officiating. Burial will be in Brightwater Cemetery in Needham.
Mrs. Pardue, 87, of Butler, died Friday, Aug. 6, 2004, in her home.
Survivors include a daughter, Priscilla Pardue Reeves and her husband, Thomas, of Butler; four sons, Marcus Pardue of Butler, Hilton Pardue and his wife, Goldie, of Gilbertown, Norman Pardue and his wife Sherry, of Baytown, Texas, and Alfred Pardue and his wife, Annette, of Dayton, Texas; a brother, Nathaniel Broadhead and his wife, Willie, of Stonewall, Miss.; 11 grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Pardue.
The family requests memorials be made to the Demopolis Section Retired Ministers, c/o Magnolia Assembly of God, 2166 Allen Road, Grove Hill, AL 36451.
Memorial services for Harvey L. Payne will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Long Creek Baptist Church.
Mr. Payne, 60, of Meridian, died Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004, in his home under the care of Southern Care Hospice.
Survivors include two sisters, Hilda Sanford of Meridian, and Carolyn Vost of Bovey, Minn.; a sister-in-law, Bernice Payne; and several nieces and nephews.
The family requests memorials may be made to Southern Care Hospice, 191 Northside Drive, Newton, MS 39345.
