Meridian Community College will give away a free semester of school on Aug. 7 during "Mall Day" at Bonita Lakes Mall.
Bynum said school representatives will be at the mall from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. to answer questions about everything from financial aid to the school's programs. Prospective students also can register for classes.
The fall semester begins Aug. 23.
Bynum said there will be a performance by Encore, the college's singing and dancing group at 11:30 a.m. at the mall's center court. Booths for the school's different programs also will be set up throughout the mall.
Tommy White, director of public relations for Bonita Lakes Mall, said the event helps showcase two major components of the community the mall and MCC.
Representatives from MCC's soccer team, baseball team and cheerleading squad also will be present to talk to anyone interested in attending MCC.
