Whether you're basking in the sun down at the shore or just hanging around town, summer truly is here. However, sunny days won't last forever. Before you know it, fall will be here.
If you have been in the clothing stores around town this past week, you know they are having some great sales. Of course, they are trying to make room for the upcoming fall season.
I thought it would be good if we took a look at what fashions will be hot this fall. Read on for the details, but the overarching theme is this: Anything goes, but femininity reigns supreme.
Perfect outfits
This fall the perfect outfit consists of fur, tweed, plaid and bows. Skirts and pants this season are very flattering. Forget the mini; A-line cuts are back again. Pleated skirts and the pencil skirt have been established as a classic staple for any wardrobe. Hemlines are the perfect length this season. Everything falls at just below the knee. Pants this season cover both extremes. Classic loose trousers are here, but this summer's cropped pants will be a staple in fall wardrobes, too.
If you are looking for the perfect fall blouse, look no further than scarf-tied blouses and chunky knit sweaters. And this will be a season of extremes, so feel free to pair a knit sweater or twin set with a pair of cropped pants and the next day pair a scarf-tied blouse with a pencil skirt. All is fair game in this season's fashion.
Fur is the accent this season and there are plenty of ways to wear it. A stole made of mink or a chinchilla coat, even faux works. If there is one thing you must have this season, it is fur. Tweed and plaid are still in, yet patterns are less discreet. Think big prints and bold patterns.
The little black dress gets a rest this season, because the tuxedo makes it debut. Chic and sophisticated, the tuxedo takes glamour to another level. It's both foolproof and flawless. Finally, tie everything together with a bow and some embellishment. In your hair, around your neck, or around your waist, a bow is the way to pull everything together.
