Graveside services for John L. Goldman were held today at 10 a.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery with the Revs. Dr. Malcolm Lewis and Lavelle Woodrick officiating. Barham Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Goldman, 74, of Meridian, died Sunday, July 18, 2004, at Riley Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Meridian. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a parts manager throughout the Meridian area. He was a member of Northcrest Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughters, Gayle Young and her husband, Charles, of Meridian and Sandi Patterson and her husband, Scott, of Southaven; grandchildren, Brandon Jones of Dallas, Blaine Jones of Hattiesburg, Brooke Patterson of Southaven and Whitney Johnson of Nashville, Ga. and one great-grandson, Jacob Jones of Dallas.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Goldman.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
Pallbearers were Brandon Jones, Blaine Jones, Scott Patterson, Charles Young and Sam Boswell.
SEBASTOPOL Services for Carlton "C.L." Boatner will be held today at 11 a.m. at Milling Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. H.L. Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in the Pearl Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Boatner, 67, of Walnut Grove, died Sunday, July 18, 2004, in his home.
Survivors include his daughter, Tammy Hunter and her husband, Eugene, of Sebastopol; sons, Jr. Boatner, of Sebastopol, Darrell Boatner and his wife, Linda, and Randy Boatner and his wife, Debbie, all of Carthage; three grandsons, his mother, Gladys Malone of Hazlehurst; a sister, Dot Barker of Hazlehurst and a brother, W.D. Boatner of Benton, La. and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lee Boatner; a sister, Maxine Anderson; brothers, Mearl F. Boatner and B.D. Boatner.
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. A funeral mass for Mitzi R. Prager will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Prager, 75, of Indianapolis, formerly of Meridian, died Tuesday, July 20, 2004, in Indianapolis.
Survivors include her brother, Sonny Roth and his wife, Mary and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edmund H. Roth Sr. and Nita Bertrand Roth and her husband, David L. Prager.
Visitation will be today 4 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Services for Margaret Eugenia Broadhead will be held Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Leslie Aucion and Roger Leggett officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Clarke County.
Mrs. Broadhead, 77, of Meridian, died Tuesday, July 20, 2004, in her home. She was a retired office clerk for Mutual Savings Insurance. She was a member of Lakeview Worship Center and worked at Western Auto for more than 30 years prior to working at Mutual Savings Insurance.
Survivors include her daughters, Patsy Neal and her husband, Charles, of Meridian and Jeanette Hall and her husband, Bob, of Brandon; a son, the Rev. Thomas Broadhead and his wife, Linda, of Meridian; a brother, Thomas S. Tyler and his wife, Catherine, of Stafford, Va.; grandchildren, Debbie McCarra and her husband, Kevin, of Quitman, Rhonda Massey and her husband, Dewayne, Michelle Terral and her husband, Steve, Tracy Stinson and her husband, Anthony, all of Meridian, Tom Broadhead and his wife, Lisa, of Hoover,Ala., Greg Mabry and his wife, Beth, and Lori Mabry and Josh Mabry, all of Brandon; great-grandchildren, Stacey McCarra, Davey Massey, Brandi Terral and Montana Terral, Katie Tadlock and Rachel Tadlock, Hanna Mabry and Owen Mabry and Ella Broadhead and several other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Broadhead.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Gideons International.
Pallbearers will be Brad Boykin, Greg Mabry, Josh Mabry, Kevin McCarra, Dewayne Massey and Sidney Hearn.
Visitation will be Thursday 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
