Kennedy, Purdy

Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Kennedy of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Bridget Elaine, to John Leopold Purdy, son of Dr. and Mrs. James Purdy of Meridian.
The couple will exchange vows on Friday, Aug. 6, 2004, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Meridian.
Miss Kennedy is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.A. "Shorty" McKee of Meridian, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Arlie Kennedy of Muscatine, Iowa.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Lamar High School and expects to receive a bachelor's degree in elementary education in December from Mississippi State University.
Mr. Purdy is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Sabatini of Almont, Mich.; James Purdy of Meridian and the late Frances Purdy.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Lamar High School and expects to receive a bachelor's degree in architecture in May 2005 from Mississippi State University.
A reception will be held at the church family life center following the ceremony.
