QUITMAN Services for Joyce McCarra Dew will be held today at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church with the Revs. David Menasco, Wesley Slay and Washington McKenzie Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Wright's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Dew, 71, of Quitman, died Wednesday , June 2, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was the retired Chancery Clerk for Clarke County. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all Clarke countians.
Survivors include her husband, S.W. "Bud" Dew of Quitman; a son, Curtis Dew and his wife, Tina, of Leonardtown, Md.; daughters, Susan Tindle and her husband, Richard, of Quitman and Diann Maples and her husband, Douglas, of Laurel; grandsons, Eric Tindle and Ethan Tindle, both of Quitman, and Scott Maples and Tyler Maples, both of Laurel; a granddaughter, Emalee Tindle of Quitman; brothers, Russell McCarra of Covington, La., Rufus McCarra of Mobile, Ala., Ray McCarra of Pascagoula, Paul McCarra and Dwight McCarra, both of Quitman, and Nevelle McCarra of Slidell, La.; and sisters, Lola Covington and Evelyn Duvall, both of Quitman.
She was preceded in death by her brother, James McCarra; and a sister, Opal Adams.
Pallbearers will be Michael McCarra, Steve Adams, Andy Covington, Alan Covington, Bo Duvall and Jerry Dale Belcher.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Graveside services for Wayne Thompson will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Jack Giles officiating. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Thompson, 64, of Meridian, died Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at The Specialty Hospital of Meridian.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Thompson of Meridian; sons, David Thompson of Meridian and James E. Thompson and his wife, Denise, of Georgetown; grandchildren, Colby Thompson and Logan Thompson, both of Georgetown, and Adam Knight of Meridian; a brother, Fred Thompson and his wife, Gennie, of Murray, Ky.; and his mother-in-law, Edna Currie of Meridian.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Ruth Thompson; a sister, Bettie Sugg; and an infant grandson, Matthew Thompson.
Pallbearers will be Colby Thompson, Adam Knight, Randy Rose, Raymond Robinson, Kenny Sims, Melvin Oubre and Odie Barrett.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
SEBASTOPOL Services for Sally J. Williams will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at St. Catherine Catholic Church with the Rev. David Hamm officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Milling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Williams, 51, of Conehatta, died Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include her husband, John Williams; daughters, Mindy Smith Bell and LeAnna Gibson; a son, David Smith Jr., all of Conehatta; and sisters, Brenda Isaac of Choctaw and Lavada Jim of Conehatta.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cordelia Williams.
Visitation will be today after 10 a.m. at 875 Choctaw Road in Conehatta.

Arrangements were incomplete at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home for Dorothy Grady, 54, of Meridian, who died Wednesday, June 2, 2004, in Meridian.
Arrangements were incomplete at Stephens Funeral Home for Harry Tew, 75, of Meridian, who died Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at Beverly Healthcare Center in Meridian.
Arrangements were incomplete at James F. Webb Funeral Home of Newton for the Rev. Johnny Mac Boggan, 68, of Hickory, who died Wednesday, June 2, 2004, in his home.
Arrangements were incomplete at E.E. McDonald Funeral Home of DeKalb for Rena Felton, 46, of Scooba, who died Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
