MCCOMB Services for Earl Walker Lundy Sr. were held today at 10 a.m. at Centenary Methodist Church. Hartman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Lundy, 77, of Summit, died Sunday, May 30, 2004, at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Edith Lundy; a son, Earl Lundy and his wife, Hilary, of Palenville, N.Y.; a daughter, Edie Varnado and her husband, David, of Summit; six grandchildren; sisters, Ann Robinson and her husband, Neville, of Jackson and Dorothy Trest and her husband, Herman, of Meridian; several nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Margaret Savell.
UNION Graveside services for Billy Shefford Dollar will be held today at 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Gary Felton officiating. Milling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Dollar, 74, of Newton, died Monday, May 31, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Mt. Zion Congregational Methodist Church and will be remembered as a "fine Christian gentleman."
Survivors include his caregiver, Eugenia Williams of Newton; five adopted children; one uncle and several cousins.
Pallbearers will be Doug Massey, Wayne Massey, Ray Mabry, Michael Driggers, Bert Cooper and Robbie Richardson.

Services for Sara Usher Whitehead will be held today at 2 p.m. at Poplar Springs Drive United Methodist Church with the Rev. Richard Robbins officiating. Burial will be in the Magnolia Cemetery. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Whitehead, 78, of Meridian, died Monday, May 31, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Poplar Springs Drive United Methodist Church. She was a retired educator and taught at St. Patrick Catholic School, Meridian Public Schools, Lamar Elementary and was the former co-owner of the Craft Cottage.
Survivors include her husband, John G. Whitehead Jr. of Meridian; children, Bobbie Rea and her husband, Chuck, and Jimmy Whitehead and his wife, Susan, all of Meridian, and Rick Whitehead and his wife, Teresa, of Madison; grandchildren, Barbara Rea Hebert and her husband, Stephen, of Baton Rouge, La., Sara Rea Campos and her husband, Hector, of Atlanta, Meredith Rea, John Rea, Walter Whitehead and Daniel Whitehead, all of Meridian, Nicholas Whitehead, Tristan Whitehead and Lauren Hartley, all of Madison; a great-grandson, Charlie Hebert of Baton Rouge; and a sister-in-law, Margaret Whitehead.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lottie H. and John B. Usher.
Memorials may be made to Poplar Springs Drive United Methodist Church or a charity of choice.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and grandsons-in-law.
Visitation will be today 12:30 p.m.-2 p.m. at the church.

Graveside services for William L. "Hot" Sellers Jr. will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Nick Holden officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Sellers, 79, of Meridian, died Tuesday, June 1, 2004, in his home. He was retired from Soul after more than 38 years. He was past grand master of King Solomon Mason Lodge, a member of the Hamasa Shrine and the Veteran's of Foreign Wars Post No. 79. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Smith Sellers; a daughter, Tjwanna Beasley and her husband, Glynn; step-children, Cheryl Tyvol and her husband, Bob, Vickie Peek and her husband, Rusty, and Steven Watson and his wife, Vickie, all of Meridian; sisters, Snooky Birdson, Merle Irby, Retha Hastings, Joyce Gossett and Wyvonne Powell; grandchildren, Michell Whitten, Lee Molpus, Russ Moore, Shanna Beasley, Kenny Watson, Emily Watson, Chris Beasley, Jai Beasley and a special granddaughter, Stacy Clark; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Floyd, 66, of Hattiesburg, died Monday, May 31, 2004, at Wesley Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Anita Floyd; a son, Steve Floyd, both of Hattiesburg; a daughter, Beverly Pitts of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a sister, Bonnie Richardson of Enterprise; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church.

Mr. Randle, 53, of Meridian, died Thursday, May 28, 2004, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Flora Randle; sons, Michael L. Gowdy and Robert E. Randle Jr., all of Meridian; his father, Cecil Randle of Meridian; his mother, Clara Randle of Russell; sisters, Sally P. Randle, Ella Ree Latham, Glenda Brewster, Barbara Randle, Gloria Parker and Irene Randle, all of Meridian; brothers, James Randle, Clinton Randle and Douglas Randle, all of Meridian.
Visitation will be Friday 8:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Hudson, 68, of Meridian, died Thursday, May 27, 2004, at Guardian Angel Hospice.
Survivors include his daughters, Lois Watson of Meridian and Georgia Mae Tillman and her husband, Charles, of Richmond, Va.; a step-son, Johnny Morgan and his wife, Essie, of Meridian; a sister, eight brothers and a uncle.
Visitation will be Friday 7 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Services for Lige Rash will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Methodist Church with the Rev. Cynthia A. Cross officiating. Burial will be in Daleville Cemetery. Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Rash, 67, of Meridian, died Sunday, May 30, 2004, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include his daughters, Vivian Rash, Judie Colston and Jessica McCoy, all of Meridian, and Diane Parker of St. Louis, Mo.; a son, Pervis McCoy of Sunflower; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a son.
Visitation will be Friday 4:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Services for Mary L. Doss will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Clark's Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Clyde Collins officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery.
Ms. Doss, 60, of Meridian, died Sunday, May 30, 2004, at Guardian Angel Hospice.
Survivors include her sons, J.D. Doss and his wife, Ada, and Jessie Doss; daughters, Betty Doss, Angie Doss and Christina Adams and her husband, Michael; a brother, Charles Doss, all of Meridian; sisters, Jeanette Doss of Chicago, Sara Everett of Silas, Ala., and Rosie Bishop of Meridian; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Dawson and Sherman Doss.
Visitation will be Friday 5 p.m.-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
